LYS Knitting
Sorry, but I haven't got any FOs to show this time. After finishing two
jerseys in a row, I'm now faced with a pile of other WIPs to tackle. ;-)
Anyway,
I thought that I would start reporting on all the knitting groups that
I attend, so that I would have something to write.
It
was the first time that we had a full registration for people to
come...usually I would tell people to just pop around without having to
register, but last night was an exception because you might not have
anywhere to sit. (Well, I guess you could go lie down in a bed of yarns
instead.)
I actually wanted to take more photos and have warned
some of the people that I was going to take photos and put on my blog.
However, without flash, my camera couldn't deal with the lighting in
the shop...so most of the photos turned pretty bad. And so I decided to
show you a couple of "action shots". I reckon that the blurriness adds
to the motion.
At the knit-night, we also have a buffet of
Antipasti and drinks. Although I must admit that I have to watch out
what I eat there because, yummy as it is, there's garlic in them....and
although I LOVE garlic, Dr. D usually complains the next day when he
sees me (okay, granted, I could have just cooked something full of
garlic for him, too...then he wouldn't notice. I should keep that in
mind). :-p
There were pretty much knitters of all levels there. From beginner to
advanced. I actually ended up teaching someone to knit in the round
last night. Yay!
Anyway, next time around, I hope to remember to
take more photos of the people there as well as the buffet and the
general goings-on....but that will be next month, because the next
official knit-night is on 12th December. So, if you're around in Munich
during that time, just pop around to knit with us....I'm sure we'll be
able to find a place for you to sit. ;-) Otherwise just come hang out
with me when I work there on Tuesdays and Fridays afternoon from about
3 p.m. onwards. You can find more info about how to get there on the shop's website (it's in German...so if you need help, just give me a yell).
Next up will be the Munich Stitch 'n Bitch! ;-)
